Normally you can switch the stock check on or off in your shop,
i.e. either only so many products are sold until the stock is zero or it is also sold into the minus.
However, the reality of a mail-order business is usually quite different.
Some products are unlimited and you are not really interested in the stock.
Others have to be limited exactly, have delivery bottlenecks in between or have to be reordered / produced.
We have now developed a solution for the shopping basket that queries the category.
Products in category A are sold in this way exactly according to stock,
Products in category B without regard to stock.
The whole thing also works with upper categories, i.e. all products that are in a category, which in turn is in category A.
