You want a multishop?
Whether different languages or completely different designs and/or different products - if you are looking for a multishop system, Fishnet Services is the right choice for you.
Setting up a multishop is very easy on Shopware, but is also possible on modified. Unless the other FAQ points speak against it, we would recommend Shopware.

The decision is simple - in this case you should definitely opt for Shopware, because 3 tax rates are no problem with it. (It should now also work with the very latest modified version, but we can't say much about that).

This is something that Shopware maps very well.

To assign article numbers twice, you need a modified store. In Shopware, this is not allowed in the admin, but is only possible via the database (e.g. via a product import by an ERP).

At least that doesn't work directly within Modified - if you absolutely want it to be sent from the store, then look for Shopware plugins.

Simple reason: the way Modified rounds and adds the totals in the orders is not compatible at least with the extended ZUGFeRD calculation (as of April 2024) as soon as you add several products, shipping cost calculation, etc.

In principle, we suggest generating the invoices OUTSIDE the store system.

Our recommendation would therefore be a modified store with a connection to the EASYBILL invoicing program.

We will install a Modified Shop for you for low one-time costs and low monthly hosting costs without support.
After that, you can browse through our wiki or visit the Modified forum.

Then it will clearly be Modified, unless the other FAQs speak against it. Because with Shopware, the running costs are higher both for hosting and for individual plugins that you rent in addition (instead of having them programmed once as with Modified).

Without any update costs, standard stores get by without any changes - whether Modified, Shopware or Shopify.

So it's important to think from the end - where do you want to go, is it just a sideline or do you want to compete with someone else?
The bigger you think, the more changes you will need to make to your store.
The more changes you have, the more we recommend using Shopify or Shopware. Shopify runs in the cloud and has no hosting costs. Shopware offers more customization options.
If you customize your store design, it will probably still run after a Shopware update. Not with Shopify. The design has to be updated manually every time.
So if it comes down to a lot of changes or an individual design, we would rather recommend Shopware.

If you have subdirectories like

then you should refrain from using Shopify, as you cannot upload your own programs here. Shopware and Modified E-Commerce are your only options.
