If you want the customer to add a text - an engraving, a print, a chassis number - then you need this extension with which free text can be entered.
The naming of the field, e.g. "Exterior engraving ring 1:" is done in the Shopadmin.
You can also create several fields, e.g. for Ring1 and Ring2.
You can define the maximum number of characters allowed in the input field and (in standard templates) how wide the input field should be.
You must leave the "Option name" field in the "Text field" item blank.
