In the meantime, there is an inexpensive Google Shopping module that only incurs one-off installation costs (plus, of course, the ongoing costs for the Google Shopping account, but no ongoing interface fees).
There are not as many setting options as with Fishnet Manager365, and if Google ever changes the interface, it will no longer work, but if you just want to test Google Shopping for success at first, this should be your tool of choice.
Important to understand:
- the Fishnet Manager365 comes from us and is supported by us free of charge.
- the Google Shopping module, however, comes from AGI and is supported by them for a fee. We cannot help you with the operation, but there is a manual.
Under Utilities - Google Taxonomy you will find the link to the entire Google category listing.
You have to call this up and copy out the categories that suit you.
Afterwards, you can determine which Google category your shop categories belong to. You can also do this differently for individual products.
In the respective product you have the option to further refine the settings, such as
- Google export allowed yes/no
- Exists marking yes/no
- Condition (new, used, renewed)
- Is it clothing?
- Age group
- Gender
- Size type (normal, short size, large size, maternity)
- Size system (standard, US, EU, UK, ....)
- Energy efficiency class
- Multipack? (number of products included)
- Material, pattern, colour,
- Ad Words Label, Ad Words Grouping, Ad Words Forwarding Link, Ad Words Mobile Link
Basic functions all versions:
Google taxonomy: Google categories are recorded in a separate menu item.
You assign these to your categories and/or products. Google categories assigned to your main categories are inherited by subcategories and products when the data feed is created, unless they are explicitly assigned their own Google category.

Product attributes and variants: You assign the appropriate Google attributes (size, colour, pattern) to your item attributes. This allows the export function to create the possible attribute combinations and transfer them to Google.
Basic prices: Consideration of price changes from attribute combinations
Availability: Determination from stock or delivery status
Pagination: Separation of the feed into several pages if your server cannot manage the complete creation
Caching: The created feed is stored on the server for 23 hours before it is recreated by calling up the URL. This way, the creation can be done via cronjob. Google receives the cached data feed and does not have to wait for it to be created.
