With this change, the names of uploaded product and category images are retained. This is very advantageous for SEO technical reasons, as the images are normally converted into the product ID (e.g. 1234.jpg).
This way your product images will also be found via Google Image Search!
Please make sure to give each image name only 1x. Existing images will be transferred.
New version as of July 2020:
Images now get the product ID in front of the name and a number after the name, for example 23_bildername_0.jpg.
In this way, you can now use the same image name for different products and duplicate products without the image name being used twice.
