Example:

You have a product "coffee mug".
This coffee mug is only available in one version. It has the article number 1000.
The product view now shows article number 1000.

But you also have a blue T-shirt in different sizes.
The blue T-shirt itself does not have an item number because it does not exist in the warehouse,
but the attributes (sizes S, M, L, XL) have numbers, let's say:
S has number 2000
M has number 2001
L has number 2002
XL has number 2003

With this module, the coffee mug would still show 1000, but the T-shirt would only show "Art. Nr: Please choose version"
The customer chooses size L and now it says "Art.Nr: 2002".

The customer buys the blue T-shirt in size L and the attribute number is then displayed as the article number .
