In future, retailers of websites that use Google Analytics will no longer be able to see any data in Analytics if Google is not explicitly informed that the customer has given their consent.
This means that the customer must not only consent to the Google cookie, but the retailer must also send this consent to Google. Only then will the data be used.
So you already have
1. a modified store
2. a standard modified cookie banner
3. a connection to Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
What we do now:
1. extend the cookie banner so that consent is transferred to Google Analytics
2. check your Google Analytics account to see if the data is being sent there.

According to Google, you will be activated for the new function in Ads if data has been coming from Analytics for at least 7 days and at least 700 clicks have been received within 7 days. (Source)
