We move your emails for you - from whoever to whoever, as long as both hosters allow this technically.
To do this, the source account and the target account must be accessible at the same time. As a rule, we therefore need the mailbox name and both the old mailbox and the new mailbox must still be accessible.
It is perfect if both the source account and the target account are not only accessible under your domain, but also under a server name or an IP address. For example, instead of "meinedomain.de" under "alterserver.com" and "neuer-hoster.com"
The target account does not have to be empty, we use duplicate detection.
Example:
You are with the hoster All-Inkl and would like to move internally from one server to another.
Both servers have the name "kasserver.com" and both mailboxes have the same e-mail address.
As a result, our system cannot know which is the old and which is the new server. We therefore need the IP address of the old server and that of the new server. Then it works.
So for each mailbox we need:
email address
mailbox name (not all hosters have this, often the mailbox name is the same as the email address)
mail server email inbox
mail server email outbox
password
and the same again for the destination server.
Duration:
We can't say anything about the duration, it varies from mailbox to mailbox. However, it usually takes several hours for all emails to be moved. From experience, depending on the size of the mailbox, between 2 and 24 hours.
Aftercare for your mailboxes:
After the move, we will scan your old mailbox for newly added emails (if it is still accessible) for another 10 days at no extra cost and add them to the new mailbox. However, this is only possible if your mailbox was not only accessible under the domain (meinshop.de), but also under the server name or IP address, AND if your host does not delete the old mailboxes. This way, you can switch from the old to the new server at your leisure after the move.
Example:
You have the domain "meinshop.de" and would like to move it from the provider All Inkl to the provider IONOS.
After the email transfer, you may also want to transfer the entire domain "wwww.meinshop.de" to IONOS. You will then no longer be able to reach All Inkl under "meinshop.de", but IONOS.
However, as we know that All Inkl can also be reached under the general domain "kasserver.com", and IONOS can also be reached under the general domain imap.ionos.de, we can still move your emails from "kasserver.com" to "imap.ionos.de" for 10 days :-)
