Import from old Modified Shop

Product no.:
55031

Products description

We can import at least part of your modified data to Shopware:

Products:
ID, name, SKU, product description, short description, status (active, deactivated), images in the description, product images, manufacturer, net price*, meta title, meta keywords, quantity, of options (attributes): Name and Net Price(*)

Categories:
Name, Images. Unfortunately, there is a bug in the interface that leads to the categories arriving in Shopware in a rather disorganised way and sometimes even subcategories suddenly become main categories. Unfortunately, all this has to be edited manually, either by you or by us (if you have several categories with identical names, please sort them yourself)

Manufacturer:
Manufacturer's name, manufacturer's picture

Customers:
ID, first name, last name, e-mail, telephone, date of birth, date of creation

Order status
can be created in Shopware as "open" and "shipped", unfortunately it is not possible to do it more granularly.

After the import, we first move all products to the tax group "standard tax rate". If you also have products with a reduced tax rate (hopefully sorted by category?), we can then move them to this group via a global change in the admin. This can be done by category, by manufacturer, by keyword, .... if you have a lot of products (> 1000), we will charge you for this work on a time basis ("Shopware office work")

Basic prices
If the quantity can be found in the product name, we can search for it and assign the correct basic price using the "multiple change" function. If you have a lot of products (> 1000), we will charge for this work according to the time spent ("Shopware office work")

Possible for an extra charge (approx. 150 euros):
Customer groups and the allocation of customers to the customer groups

Anything not mentioned here is also not possible.

You have had your shop for a long time or have a good Google ranking? Then we advise against switching from modified ecommerce to Shopware for the time being! No matter how many redirection rules you create for your old URLS, for Google this will be a new shop and you will lose your ranking for a certain period of time. The shop will then be completely re-indexed and re-ranked by Google. If you don't care about this, or you want to build a Shopware shop IN ADDITION, or you can afford an interim loss of your ranking, then switching to Shopware is a good investment for the future.
Shopware is also a good idea for merchants who want to connect their in-store checkout with the online shop.

There are some important things to consider when switching from Modified ecommerce to Shopware - even for you as a merchant!

Server: The import will fail if the server is not powerful enough or the server settings are not sufficient.
Delivery times: Delivery times cannot be imported - it is mapped to the fallback delivery time of SW (Basic settings > Shopping cart / item details).
Attributes : As there are no weight markup configurators in SW, this information is lost.
Attributes: In SW there are no price markdown configurators. Price mark-ups < 0 are therefore ignored.
Delivery addresses: Different delivery addresses are not imported. The following applies after migration: delivery address = invoice address.
Packaging units: Unfortunately, it is not possible to import packaging units and assign them to the products.
Sorting: A display according to a manual sorting (Modified: "Sorting order ascending / descending") is not possible in Shopware without additional programming. It is sorted either alphabetically by name, or by price, by publication date, stock or number of items sold so far.

The price for this service depends on how many products, categories, customers.... short how many data records your shop has in total.
For an offer we need FTP access to your old shop and to your new shop.

(*) Unfortunately, only the net prices without the correct tax rate are imported during the import, we can then set all products to e.g. the tax rate 19%. Customer group prices, special offers and the like are not taken into account.
The Modified - Shopware import is unfortunately anything but perfect, but there is currently no other solution. Please reckon with the fact that you will have to revise all your prices again afterwards. Unfortunately, there is no other technical solution.
