Wordpress needs to be maintained regularly. News about "1 million hacked Wordpress sites" and the like show this clearly time and again.
This means that as soon as an update comes out (about twice a month), you have to make a backup copy and then install the update and troubleshoot any problems.
This can take 2 minutes or 4 hours, depending on whether a problem occurs with one of the installed plug-ins. Experience shows that problems can be expected about twice a year!
We therefore offer the service "regular backups and updates", including of course troubleshooting in case of problems.
Please note:
If you destroy WordPress yourself during an update, we charge for our emergency support our normal hourly rate. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you leave it in our hands!
Note for Strato customers
We normally upload the backups to our server via SFTP to keep them safe, so to speak. This is no longer possible with Strato, which is why we store the backups locally.
