Many hosters

  • do not make backups of your data,
  • or delete them after 7 days (by the way, we do in our standard function as a hoster),
  • or keep them directly on the same server as your shop. Of course, this is stupid if the data centre burns down, as happened to the cloud hoster OVG in Strasbourg in 2021.

All of this is suboptimal, of course.
We therefore make regular backups of your system and upload them directly to our German backup server - separate from all shops. In doing so, we not only save the database, but also the files needed for a restore.

The price depends on the size of your shop and how long you want us to keep the backups.

Should we only back up the database?
Database and media?
Only the system, i.e. database, source codes of the shop and plugins?
Only the system but with media?

We would be happy to test this once. For this we need your Shopware 6 admin access and also an invitation from your Shopware account to the email address support@fishnet-services.com.

Our recommendation is:

- if you use a merchandise management system, one backup per week is sufficient. We could keep this for 6 months, for example.
- if you don't use an ERP but have daily orders, you should run a daily backup and keep it for 6 months.

You don't know how big your shop is?

We install the backup plugin of our partner swpa in your shop and just have a look - free of charge and without obligation ;-)
By the way, an empty, freshly installed shop has a size of approx. 200 MB, i.e. 0.2 GB.

What do we need for this?

An invitation from your Shopware customer account to join your company as a member. To do this, click on Shops - Your Shop - User - Add User and send us an invitation to support@fishnet-services.com
. You will also need admin access to your shop in order to install and configure the plugin.

You don't want to give out any data?

No problem. You install the plugin and we give you test access data with which you feed the plugin. Then you start the test backup and we tell you afterwards how big it is.

Summary:

tl;dr:
You buy the storage space for SWPA backups for Shopware here. Of course, you also need the SWPA backup plugin, which incurs additional monthly costs, see there.
