The cancellation button for Shopware 6 works seamlessly without affecting existing orders or inventory levels. By clicking the “Cancel Order” link, the customer is directed to a form where they enter their email address, name, and order number. A customer account or login is not required, so guest orders are also supported.
After the data has been successfully verified, the plugin displays all products in the order. The customer can then select individual items or partial quantities and submit the cancellation directly. This allows for both complete and partial cancellations.
Before the cancellation is finally submitted, the customer receives an overview of the selected products for confirmation. An email is then automatically sent to both the merchant and the buyer to inform both parties of the cancellation request.
Important: The plugin does not modify orders, payment data, or inventory levels. It is intended solely for the legally compliant transmission of the cancellation request, allowing the merchant to subsequently review and process the request themselves.
