Some retailers want to sell dropshipping and non-dropshipping products. Or dangerous goods and normal products.
However, as these are not usually shipped together, you would actually have to tell customers to place two separate orders. This is unpleasant and annoying for customers.
We make it very simple:
Your standard products stay as they are, with their standard shipping (e.g. DHL parcel by weight).
You only give your “special products” a TAG. You store this TAG in the plugin configuration and enter the shipping costs and whether these should only be charged once or per product.
Of course, you can also enter several TAGS, e.g. “Shipping1, Shipping2, Dangerous goods1” and enter different shipping costs everywhere.
Example:
normal products - shipping 6,90 EUR up to 5 kg
products "freight" - shipping 100 EUR flat
dangerous product - shipping 15 EUR each
cart:
8x normal products weighing 3kg
10x freight products
3x dangerous products
Shipping costs: 6,90 + 100 + 3(15) = 151,90
