This allows you to transparently show your customers that the item will be available soon – while avoiding misunderstandings or orders that you cannot yet fulfill. Sometimes retailers create a product long before its release date, or it is currently out of stock but the date of its return to stock is already foreseeable.
In this case, you can simply enter the date when the product will be available again in the top left corner of the admin area as usual – but from now on, the quantity input and shopping cart will be automatically hidden so that every customer knows that the product cannot (yet) be delivered.
