With this extension for Modified eCommerce, merchants can efficiently implement the new EU information requirements regarding statutory warranties and voluntary guarantees in accordance with Directive (EU) 2024/825. From September 27, 2026, the use of a standardized warranty and guarantee label will be mandatory—in both online and brick-and-mortar retail.
The extension handles the entire technical integration:
* Integration of official EU label templates in all required language versions
* Visible and legally compliant display directly on product and offer pages (not just in body text or the footer)
* Display of guarantee labels for voluntary durability guarantees provided by manufacturers
* Integration of QR codes linking to further EU information pages
* Configuration options (e.g., "Show preview" vs. "Full view") to allow for adjustments in response to legislative changes.

This enables reliable compliance with regulatory requirements, reduces the risk of legal warnings, and significantly minimizes implementation effort. The extension ensures legally compliant implementation without the need for additional shop development.
Warranty Instructions
Install the plugin under Modules > System Modules
At this time, from a technical standpoint, we recommend the following configuration: "Warranty Product Listing OFF, Product Information OFF, Checkout Full Version"—please consult your lawyer to verify the legal correctness of this setting.
All my products are covered by the statutory warranty.
Simply click "Warranty: ON for all products" in the plugin, and you're done.
Only a few are not covered by the statutory warranty.
Click "Warranty: ON for all products" in the plugin. Then, open the specific products that are NOT covered and switch the setting to "OFF" (or "NO") for them.
I have only a few products covered by the statutory warranty.
Simply open those specific products and click "Warranty: YES."
Instructions for manufacturer's warranty:
1. My manufacturers do not offer a warranty.

2. All my manufacturers offer a warranty.
Click the "Manufacturer's Warranty: ON for all products" button in the plugin.
Then, go to Catalog > Manufacturers, open each manufacturer's entry, and enter the number of warranty years. Enter only the number, without the word "years."
3. Only some manufacturers offer a warranty.
Go to Catalog > Manufacturers, open each manufacturer's entry, and enter the number of warranty years. Enter only the number, without the word "years."
4. Only some manufacturers offer a warranty, and only for a few products.
Go to Catalog > Categories/Products, navigate to the relevant products, click "Commercial Manufacturer's Warranty: YES" for each one, and enter the duration of the warranty in years below.
The manufacturer label is always displayed on the product page—this is a legal requirement.
The statutory warranty label can be displayed in various locations throughout the shop, as described above.
FAQ:
Where do I enter the terms and conditions for the manufacturer's warranty?
You should use the "Order Description" field available in the product settings for the warranty terms. This is because the "Order Description" field is displayed alongside key product details during the checkout process and in the order confirmation email.
Why aren't the labels included in the order confirmation email?

Short answer: If you would like the label(s) included in the email, we’d be happy to do that. We can set this up for you at no extra cost. Please let us know exactly how often (once, or for each applicable product), where in the email (or as an attachment), and in what format and size.
I use an ERP system; into which database fields do I need to upload the data?
Database columns an ERP writes to keep the EU guarantee labels in sync. As of version 4.0.4.
