We connect your shop to the DEEPL translation platform via an interface.
This allows you to translate your German product texts into different languages with just one click. The translation quality is outstanding, in our opinion worlds better than Google Translate.
The price is far below what you would have to pay for a translator.
In this rental version you do NOT need an additional tariff with Deepl.
Price is for 1 million characters per month. If you reach the limit, you will receive an error message so that you cannot exceed it.
If you wish, we can increase the limit. For each additional 1 million characters or part thereof, the price is €24.99
Only the characters contained in the source text are counted, i.e. the original text you want to translate. Invisible characters such as spaces, tabs, line feeds etc. are also counted.
You can cancel your subscription at any time, with at least 5 days notice before the end of the current billing period. After cancellation, you can still use the interface until the end of the billing period.

Procedure:
- select the products to be translated in the product list in the admin
- select source and target language
- start
- you will receive a list of the translated products with a marker indicating whether the translation was successful or whether an error occurred (e.g. no German text available).
Version history
August 2020:
first version, possible languages depend on the installed language templates, maximum possible: German, English, Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch, in any combination. Currently, English is translated non-specifically (i.e. not specifically American or British). Description and short description are translated, not the product name.
September 2020:
You can now translate into all target languages that Deepl offers, whereby we fetch English as British English and Portuguese as European Portuguese (i.e. not Brazilian Portuguese).
The target language can be saved independently of the available shop languages.In this way, you could, for example, use your English language template for Chinese and use Deepl to translate from German to Chinese and save it in the English language template (which would, of course, overwrite existing English product texts, unless you duplicate the language template beforehand...) Often, end users do not need the entire shop in Russian or Polish etc., but only the product descriptions.
